Clay Maeckel to Speak at Reconnect.Brisbane

We are excited and privileged to have Clay Maeckel, Claris Chief Software Architect, attending Reconnect.Brisbane. This will be Clay's second visit to Australia, having previously attended the APAC Developer Days in Sydney in 2016.

For those who haven't had the pleasure of meeting Clay yet – where have you been?! Clay joined the original Claris in 1987 as employee number 15. He is the one remaining father of Draco, the FileMaker database engine.

Clay is renowned for his deep technical expertise and contributions to the development of the FileMaker platform, particularly in areas like database architecture. Work includes significant enhancements to the Draco database engine, which is central to FileMaker's performance improvements. He is active in the FileMaker developer community, known for his openness to discussing new ideas and offering guidance to developers of all levels at conferences.

At Reconnect.Brisbane, Clay will present a must-attend State of the Union session and participate in an interactive Ask Me Anything panel. Don't miss your chance to submit your questions beforehand and get insights directly from one of the architects of FileMaker.

Additionally, Clay will be exploring the local wildlife, getting up close with koalas, and experiencing the scenic journey on the Spirit of Queensland, visiting Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef.

Join us at Reconnect.Brisbane to meet and learn from Clay Maeckel. Whether you're a seasoned developer or just starting out, you're sure to gain valuable knowledge and inspiration from your interactions with him. See you there!
